TYPO3

The following describes how to integrate TrustCaptcha into your TYPO3 site.

The TYPO3 extension is brand new. If you experience any problems, please contact our support team. We will be happy to help.

Preparation

Make the following preparations before you start integrating TrustCaptcha into your TYPO3 website.

Requirements

  • An account with TrustCaptcha and an existing CAPTCHA.
  • A website with TYPO3 where TrustCaptcha will be integrated.

Supported Extensions

Our CAPTCHA extension currently supports the following TYPO3 extensions:

  • Form
  • Powermail

Setup

Follow the steps below to quickly and easily integrate TrustCaptcha into your TYPO3 website.

1. Installation

Perform the following steps to install the CAPTCHA extension via the Composer and Packagist:

2. Configuration

Follow these steps to configure TrustCaptcha in your TYPO3 instance:

  • Login as an admin to your TYPO3 instance.
  • Navigate to Admin Tools → Settings → Extension Configuration → trustcaptcha.
  • Enter the site key and the secret key of your CAPTCHA. You can find these in the settings of your respective CAPTCHA.
  • Optional: Adjust additional settings such as language, theme, or threshold as needed.

Usage

The following section explains how to use the supported TYPO3 extensions.

Form

Integrate TrustCaptcha into your existing form in just a few steps:

  • Navigate to Web → Forms and edit the form into which you want to integrate TrustCaptcha.
  • Click on the Create new element button. Select the TrustCaptcha element from the list of available form elements and insert it into your form.
  • Save your changes.

Your form is now protected with TrustCaptcha. When your form is submitted by a user, the CAPTCHA result is verified. If the CAPTCHA verification is successful, the form finishers are executed. If the CAPTCHA fails, the user will see the form again with an error message.

The video clearly shows the most important steps. It uses a sample form and TYPO3 13.4.

Powermail

Integrate TrustCaptcha into your existing Powermail form in just a few steps:

  • Navigate to your Powermail form and edit it.
  • Click on the Create new Field button.
  • Assign a label such as Captcha and select TrustCaptcha as the type.
  • Save your changes.

Your form is now protected with TrustCaptcha. When your form is submitted by a user, the CAPTCHA result is verified. the sending process of your Powermail form will continue. If the CAPTCHA fails, the user will see the form again with an error message.
