Organizations & Reselling

An Organization is an optional layer above Projects. Use it to manage many Projects with a shared team — your own or your customers’ — and to take part in the partner / reseller program.

You don’t need an Organization for everyday use of a single Project.

An Organization has its own membership, separate from Project members:

RoleCan do
MemberManage all linked Projects.
MaintainerAdditionally modify the Organization itself (settings, members, tokens) — but not delete it.
OwnerFull access, including payouts and deleting the Organization.

Members are added by email invitation (the invitee needs a TrustComponent account; invitations expire after 7 days, like Project invitations). An Organization always keeps at least one Owner.

Projects are linked to an Organization with invite tokens:

  1. In the Organization’s Projects page, create an invite token — a XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX code with an optional description, a maximum number of uses (1–100), and a 7-day validity.
  2. The Project admin enters the token in the Project under Settings → General → Join Organization and explicitly confirms that the Organization may manage the Project.
  3. The Project appears in the Organization’s Projects list — with its services, member count, current cost, and plan.

A linked Project can be unlinked again at any time, from either side. For verified partners, each Project also carries a relationship: Own company (affiliated) or External partner (a customer’s Project) — only external Projects earn commissions.

Organizations have their own Audit Logs, Contracts, and Single Sign-On — so an agency can sign one DPA, review one audit trail, and set up one SSO configuration covering its own scope.

The partner program lets agencies and resellers earn commissions on their customers’ spend:

  1. Apply on the Organization’s Referral page: your company details, self-billing information (address, VAT ID, invoice language), and acceptance of the partner terms. German small businesses can declare §19 UStG (Kleinunternehmerregelung).
  2. TrustComponent verifies the application (partner status: PendingApproved).
  3. Connect payouts via Stripe Connect on the Organization’s overview page.

Once approved and connected:

  • Commissions accrue on the revenue of your linked external Projects, on a tiered plan — the percentage grows with the monthly recurring revenue you bring.
  • Payouts run automatically once at least €50 is ready, to your Stripe account.
  • Credit notes (self-billing invoices) are generated for every payout and listed under the Organization’s Credit notes page.

The Organization pages Commissions, Credit notes, and Payout profile give you the full paper trail: earned, pending, ready-for-payout, and paid-out amounts.
