Get Started

TrustComponent is a platform for trust and reliability on the web. It started as TrustCaptcha — our GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted CAPTCHA — and has grown into a platform of several products that share one account, one team, and one billing and governance model.

This documentation covers all of them. If you are only here for the CAPTCHA, head straight to Get Started with TrustCaptcha. If you are new to the platform, read on.

Each product can be used entirely on its own. You do not need the others to get value from any single one.

Every product you use lives inside a Project. A Project is the container that bundles one or more services (a CAPTCHA, a StatusPage, a VAT Checker) together with the things they all share:

  • Your team — members with roles, and invitations to add more.
  • Billing — plans, add-ons, and invoices for the services in the Project.
  • Governance — contracts such as a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), and a full audit log of what happened.
  • Access for machines — API keys and webhooks, so your own systems can talk to ours.

You can put a single service in a Project, or bundle several — for example a CAPTCHA and a status page for the same product — so that one team and one invoice cover everything. Learn more in Projects & Services.

These work the same way across every product, and are documented once:

Where do I sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)? Inside a Project, under Governance → Contracts. You first need a Project with at least one service; then you can generate and sign the DPA there. See Projects & Services.

Is there an API? Yes. Every product exposes a small public REST API, and API keys and webhooks are managed per Project. See the API overview.

Which regions is this hosted in? TrustComponent is EU-hosted. Monitoring checks additionally run from several locations worldwide — see Services & Monitors.
